Photodistortion
Photodistorzija is an artistic project that, through a conceptual approach, aims to present photography as a product, a medium and an indispensable form of communication within contemporary society. The project is conceived as an exhibition display of photographs and a presentation of specific processes, manifestations and uses of photography in various artificial spaces. In accordance with the principles of visual art, where photography has its visual and artistic place, Photodistorzija presents various conceptual works within gallery locations – art zones.
Photodistorzija ensures equal access for all authors from Croatia and abroad.
The call for participation is announced through a public competition, and a professional jury selects the best photographs to be exhibited as part of solo and group exhibitions at the following locations: Galerija Zuccato, Mala galerija and the theatre foyer.
The theme, technique and number of works are not prescribed, while the format is limited to 30 x 40 cm. The only condition of Photodistorzija is that the photographs/installations are the author’s own work and that they were created in the last two years. Everyone can participate, regardless of experience, age or profession.
