Have you always dreamed of wearing clothes made by your own hands? Are you creative and want to show your work? Do you have a wardrobe full of clothes you don’t know what to do with?
Come to the Poreč Public Open University for the sewing and tailoring workshop and step into the world of needles, thread, and colourful fabrics.
The course lasts 30 hours and provides the basic foundations of using a sewing machine, making simpler garments (skirts and shirts), repairing clothes, pattern cutting from Burda, modifying patterns to your own measurements, and making zippers, sleeves, and collars—skills that allow you to continue progressing independently.
You can continue with an advanced 30-hour course that includes making trousers, pockets, replacing a zipper, and cutting and sewing a blazer or jacket. The workshop is equipped with modern sewing machines (one for each participant), and you may also use your own sewing machine.
Whether you are a beginner or already have sewing experience, you will, with expert and quality guidance and an individual approach, create whatever you wish. In a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere, you will enjoy your creations and your newly discovered skill.
Please bring your own material for the garment you wish to make.
The workshop is led by Sofija Apostolovski, clothing and textile designer (Merlin – Association for the Promotion of Creativity).
Course price: 220 € (VAT included)
