Children’s Music Kindergarten

Children’s Music Kindergarten

Music Kindergarten is open to preschool children aged 6 and over. The program runs for one school year. Through songs, rhythmic instruments and melodic percussion, children enrich their musical experience while developing fine motor skills, musical memory, listening skills and a sense of rhythm. Play and storytelling are used as the main tools for motivation and learning.

The Music Kindergarten program includes guided listening to classical music, with age-appropriate introductions that help stimulate children’s imagination. A special emphasis is placed on recognising and learning about new musical instruments by ear. This enables children to distinguish different timbres and moods, identify melodic and rhythmic patterns, and strengthen their memory.

Playing Orff instruments, dancing and singing, and listening to classical music all contribute to children’s development by improving concentration and memory. Working in pairs and groups encourages positive social interaction and teamwork, while performing in front of others helps build confidence. Each child has the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills, supported by their peers, teacher and parents.

Through the Music Kindergarten program, children are introduced to the world of classical music, helping them develop an appreciation for music. By listening to high-quality musical works, children discover a unique world in which they learn to recognise and appreciate beauty in music. Their imagination and emotions are stimulated, while their listening skills and musical taste continue to develop.

By the end of the program, children will have developed singing skills and the ability to memorise musical phrases, melodies and lyrics. They will also develop a sense of ensemble playing, positive interpersonal relationships and teamwork, and will actively contribute to creating a positive and supportive group atmosphere.
