Jedan je od glavnih ciljeva festivala, osim predstavljanja uvijek inovativnih i zanimljivih radova te razmjene iskustava i ugodnog druženja, zadržavanje kvalitete predstavljanja radova dajući svima priliku prikazivanja vlastitog svijeta ideja i njegovih proizvoda.
Performing the city
Street art Poreč began its artistic and touristic expression in 2001 as a street art festival that, every August, brings together carefully selected artists and revives and colours the streets and squares of Poreč. Street art Poreč has an open format and includes all forms of artistic expression, from music and stage performances and visual art projects to street acrobatics and performances.
One of the main goals of the festival, besides presenting always innovative and interesting works, exchanging experiences and enjoying pleasant socializing, is to maintain the quality of how the works are presented while giving everyone the opportunity to showcase their own world of ideas and its creations.
Artists working in different fields of creativity are selected according to the quality and expressiveness of their artistic expression, regardless of their previous experience or formal education. Those interested in taking part in the festival can apply throughout the year, but it is recommended to apply during the period of the open call, just before the selection of participants, and then the organisation and staging of the festival.
The festival acts amaze, make people laugh, surprise and sometimes even confuse, but they always undoubtedly spark interest and entertain both the local and tourist audience in Poreč. During Street art Poreč, every surface of the city can become a stage, every building or monument a backdrop, and every passer-by an interested observer – or even a participant.
