Poreč Film Club
In Poreč, the need has been recognised to establish a place that would bring together amateurs who want to engage in art, especially film and photography.
Kinoklub Poreč is conceived as a central gathering place for creatives in the fields of film and photography. It is based on the basic principles of other Croatian film clubs and similar associations – amateurism above all, inclusiveness and an experimental approach to education as well as to artistic expression.
Kinoklub Poreč aims to be a place that enables lifelong learning and the development of creativity. A place that is open to everyone, regardless of age, knowledge or interests.
Around the Poreč cinema, an effort is being made to gather an audience that will watch films in an informed way, socialise and discuss film art. For the younger generations, the goal is to create a place they can turn to in order to take their first step in film education. For older people, the Poreč film club is also an open space for meeting and exchanging ideas, because age has nothing to do with creativity – in fact, it can be an excellent starting point for discovering new, interesting stories and voices.
