Poreč Public Open University has, since its beginnings, devoted special attention to education and follows the trends of lifelong learning: acquiring knowledge, developing skills, spending free time in meaningful ways, meeting people with similar interests—in short, working on oneself.

In a tourist centre such as Poreč, tourism is the primary activity, or citizens are in close contact with it, which is why language courses have the longest continuity. Many people are interested in learning a world language or improving their existing knowledge.

For those seeking a career change or further professional development, we offer educational programmes aligned with the supply and demand of jobs in our region. The list of training and upskilling programmes is expanded every year, and we receive enrolments from all over Istria.

The University also offers creative workshops and popular children’s play-workshops, while IT-oriented course modules are already included in many programmes—not only formal ones, but creative ones as well.

The range of educational programmes changes and expands dynamically, always involving experts from various fields with a special affinity for working with both children and adults.
