for new compositions intended for the amateur choirs of the choral meeting Naš kanat je lip.
The compositions should be based on the characteristics of the Istrian–Primorje folk melos, i.e. on the Istrian scale and the Čakavian dialect in an artistic setting, and on sacred text. The duration of a single composition may be from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 10 minutes.
The compositions are intended for mixed, male and female choirs, as well as vocal chamber ensembles (a cappella or with 1–3 classical instruments).
It is desirable that the compositions be suitable for performance by amateur choirs.
Cash prizes and diplomas are awarded for the 1st and 2nd prize.
The best selected compositions will be printed in the XVIII Collection of compositions Naš kanat je lip in 2026.
The works must not have been previously performed or published. The competition is open until 15 March 2026.
The organiser of the competition acquires the right to publicly perform and publish the awarded compositions without remuneration to the authors and performers.
Compositions should be submitted under a code in three printed scores and three copies of the text (computer printout Sibelius and Word).
