The Zagreb Quartet, founded in 1919, is the first permanent and professional ensemble of its kind on the Croatian music scene. Over the course of their long history, they have established high standards of musicianship, becoming the backbone of domestic chamber music. Their rich repertoire includes classics and contemporary works, with a special emphasis on Croatian opuses. In addition to numerous domestic and international tours and a rich discography, they have also been awarded the most prestigious national awards, including the Vladimir Nazor Lifetime Achievement Award. Ivan Krpan is a prominent Croatian pianist, trained in the class of Ruben Dalibaltayan. He has won numerous awards and has won the prestigious Ferruccio Busoni Competition in 2017. He performs at home and abroad.
