PAINTING ATELIER

At the Small Gallery, on Thursday, 2 July 2026, at 8 PM, we are opening a group exhibition by participants of the Drawing and Painting Course, organised by the Open University of Poreč under the mentorship of mag. art. Janis Beletić.

The exhibition, entitled Painting Atelier, brings together works by amateur artists from different generations and presents a final overview of their artistic exploration of various motifs, techniques, and approaches to painting.

The exhibition will be on view from 2 to 25 July and can be visited during the gallery’s opening hours, from 7 PM to 10 PM. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Admission is free.

The adult Drawing and Painting Course, organised by the Open University of Poreč under the mentorship of mag. art. Janis Beletić, brought together around ten amateur artists of different generations and levels of prior experience — from complete beginners to those who already had experience in artistic expression.

In a stimulating and supportive environment, participants acquired fundamental knowledge of drawing and painting, as well as insights into various historical and artistic concepts. Special attention was given to an individual approach, recognising personal interests, and encouraging an authentic artistic voice.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MENTOR

Janis Beletić (mag. art.) is a Croatian artist of the younger generation, born in 2001 in Pula.

She graduated in Art Education, specialising in Painting, from the Academy of Applied Arts in Rijeka, under the mentorship of Full Professor Emilijo Duparov. Alongside her educational work, she is actively engaged in artistic practice — painting, illustration and comics, animation, and photography.

She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad and has received the Rector’s Award for Excellence for her artistic work.
