Daniele Roccato is an Italian double bassist, composer and improviser of international acclaim, known for his collaborations with leading figures in contemporary music, theatre and dance. He has performed at prestigious festivals and venues around the world, and his compositions have been presented by institutions such as La Biennale di Venezia and the Centre Pompidou.
He is a co-founder of the Ludus Gravis ensemble, one of the most renowned double bass ensembles in contemporary music. He also works as a professor of double bass and improvisation at the Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome and regularly leads seminars at prestigious international academies.
