The performance What Do You See, or Not explores the human tendency to draw premature conclusions and highlights the difference between first impressions and a more complex underlying reality. It is structured in three chapters, each addressing a different aspect of human experience: the first questions self-confidence and its dependence on external validation, the second explores loneliness and the desire for belonging, and the third examines identity and freedom of expression. Together, these layers open up space for a critical reflection on the relationship between the individual and society.
Its choreographic language is built on the contrast between an apparently clear narrative and its gradual deconstruction, emphasizing the individuality of each performer and the diversity of movement expression.
The music, specially composed in collaboration with ReVibrant Trio (performed as a recording), combines string instruments, percussion, and electronic elements, underlining key dramaturgical transitions. The performance deliberately moves away from fixed spatial and temporal frameworks, focusing instead on dance, performers, and concept, inviting the audience into an introspective experience and personal interpretation.
